About
Hello, my name is Larry A. Burns, Jr. I was born in San Diego, California. My wife’s name is Dorothy and she was born in Santa Monica, California. I grew up as an Air Force military brat and then joined the Air Force myself after attending Central Bible College. I spent on tour during Operation Desert Storm and then spent the next six years in Business. During the last two years of business I owned three Christian Coffee Houses called Holy Grounds Christian Coffee House. That was pretty much the beginning of my ministry.
I worked in the secular music industry as a band development consultant / Manager, as the chief editor of an entertainment and music magazine in Hollywood, called Night Moves Magazine, and for over a year and a half as the executive vice president of major rap record label Ruff Ryders for the west Coast branch. God has a calling on my life and I’ve accepted, of course. I spent the next four years on worship teams and in two Christian alternative Rock bands as a rhythm guitarist. My wife and I got married and we served together on staff at a church in the youth worship and singles worship as directors. I then became the associate pastor as the youth pastor and worship pastor of an Assemblies of God church in Los Angeles where I spent two years. It’s amazing to see how God works in so many different lives. It is also tragic to see how that people hinder God from moving in their lives. Afterall, it is a choice.
After a year off of ministry, and after my wife going through U.S. Air Force basic training and her military technical school Biloxi, just a couple months after Hurricane Katrina. (What an unbelievable mess the hurricane made.) Then We move to Ramstein Air Base, Germany in Southwest Germany. So cool, because I’ve already spent six years in Germany and five years of German Classes, so I speak German. We now serve on a worship team and have ministered quite a bit, not just in the church, but to the military community. www.ramsteinairmen.com We just finished a worship conference where I taught a guitar clinic to aspiring and seasoned worship leaders. We had a big worship concert at the end of the conference. Both our church worship team and our developed touring team have ministered several places here in Southern Germany over the last six months.
During this time, my wife and I started and have operated a Federal 501 (c)3 non-profit organization and California State non-profit organization. A big part of this organization is a record label called Accolade Records. www.accoladerecords.com We have gone through three rosters of artists in the last four years and have distribution through Universal Music Group and previously, Sony Music, and have had much difficulty securing the finances to fund such a ministry. I know that music belongs to God and our music industry should have His anointing on it, but it doesn’t because for the most part the artists in our industry haven’t first committed their lives to Christ and have not committed their talent to Him. Therefore, Satan’s anointing is upon our industry. It’s time for us as Christians and as ministers to support ministries that are called to change our music industry. It can happen.
I am currently writing three books called, “The Power of musical anointing”, “Owning and operating a Christian Coffee House”, and my life story. Working title is, “What an interesting Life, so far”
I’m also the Protestant Singles Director/ Singles Pastor over three U.S. Air Force Bases, Ramstein Airbase, Vogelweh Airbase and Sembach Airbase.
My biggest interest on this earth anyways, is my wife. She’s amazing. My major interests are film and music. I love to create film and produce and direct as well as act. I love to help people. I love to counsel people and give them direction. I love to preach God’s word. I love to play music for God. I’m a idea person, so I love to create concepts and direction. I love to provoke thought in people and cause them to think, not only about things around them, but about everything about themself. Even the look on your face, which so many people don’t monitor. SMILE! Have some joy. Take it home with you and give it to your family too. Take joy everywhere, all the time. It’s not sickening. It’s Godly. It’s what God is. “Love” 1 Corinthians 13
Well, that’s some things about me. I’m sure I’ll tell more later.
