Hello everyone, it’s coming up to another Monday again.  During this week I’ll be talking about some of the interesting things that have happened in my life and how that God has blessed me.  Well, I hope that you are doing well.  Remember, email me if you have any questions or comments.  You take care.

Never a Dull Moment: May 2011

Monday, April 25th, 2011

Hey everybody.  I guess I haven’t been the greatest at updating my blog.  That shall get better.  Things have been rolling along.  From January to February Dorothy, Symphony and I went to Los Angeles and the Philippines.  In L.A., we spent time with family and took care of some things that we need to get done, a few meetings, buying supplies, more equipment, etc.  Then we went to the Philippines to lead a crusade.  Wow.  That is pretty much the only word that comes to mind.  Let’s just say, that God is amazing.  Literally.  It was so neat to get to see Him work in and through our team that we had there.  In an eight day crusade, there were over 1000 people that gave their hearts to the Lord.  Over 500 were prayed over for healing.  A man was delivered from 20 demons in the middle of the jungle.  Pretty intense.  There is no limit to God’s power.  Dorothy’s mother, Zeny goes to the Philippines every year and does this.  Oh my goodness.  What a ministry.  She arranged this whole crusade.  She has definitely been given a gift from God to love people.  I must add; I love the Philippines.

After the Philippines, I was asked by our awesome friend and partner in our production company, Christopher Dearborn, to accompany him on his trip to Italy for eight days.  I’ve spent a lot of time in Italy.  It’s so beautiful there.  We drove to Venice and spent three days, then to Rome and spent two days and then to Pompei for a day and then on to Cinque Terre, to Portovinieri for a day and drove back to Germany.  It was a great trip of fellowship, talking about future film projects and taking in the sites.  Well, let’s just say, a filmmaker never just takes in sites.  They are in a constant state of “Location Scouting”, for one of their next film projects.  And you get two filmmakers together doing the same thing and it would drive most tourists crazy.

God has opened many doors and left others closed to us.  He never allows us to be led into confusion or into bad places when we are truly seeking His kingdom and seeking righteousness in our life (and fleeing from ALL unrighteousness).  He always blesses us for our obedience.  He already has all of our provisions right there available for us.  All we have to do is line up or continue to be lined up with His Word and His plan.

Another film that I hired onto, took us with a smaller team and all of our own equipment, to Luxemburg where we did a two P2 Cam shoot for a feature length documentary called, “Remember the Fallen,” about B-17 crews that went down during WWII.  It was a pretty amazing shoot last week.  We aren’t finished.

I would very much like to hear from you.  I have had a lot of people subscribing to this blog over the past eight months especially.  I would like to hear your thoughts and even your own stories or testamonies.  Remember, you can go on to Vimeo and view many of our projects and scenes that we have uploaded.  This is a site where I upload our unfinished, unprocessed footage with minimal offline editing, to just allow people to see what we are up to.  Here’s the link: http://www.vimeo.com/epicflightfilms

God bless you all and stay righteous according to the Word of God and you’ll always be provided for.

Take care,

Larry A. Burns, Jr.

It’s already November 2010

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Well, sorry people.  I guess I miss an entire year and a half of updates here on the blog.  I guess somehow or another I’ve allowed Facebook to take its place.  I will continue to post here though.  So much has happened.  Dorothy and I had a baby girl on August 2009, and named her Symphony Grace.  She’s so sweet.  I wrote an amazing motion picture screenplay called Dresden Syndicate.  I’m so excited about this film.  Truly, this is in mine and other’s opinion, my masterpiece so far.  I’m having to bide my time before we can produce it.  I’ve had so many other film projects.  I was asked in April to write and direct a biographical film about a man in Los Angeles.  I’ve built a production team and invested a lot in a ton of new production equipment.  In 2009 we kicked off our production company, “European-American Motion Picture Group”.  I’ve since partnered with Christopher Dearborn in the company.  Our feature length film, “Guardians”, executive produced by David Scott Burns, has gone to Sundance Film Festival 2011.  We’re excited about that.  Earlier this year I began the script for my next film, a sci-fi film, working title Time Shifters.  This too is an extraordinary film screenplay.  So, to my current film.  If you haven’t already, you have to go on and check out the trailer.  This film is about as heartfelt of a story as you can get.  Losing one’s heritage makes you feel as though your life’s work has been for nothing.  This film is exactly about that.  It’s called “Land of Sciacchetra'”  It’s in post production right now.  It was shot July through October of this year in Le Cinque Terre, Italy.

“Land of Sciacchetra'” trailer:    4.5 mins  Click Here

Let me know what you think.  I want to encourage you to go onto my Filmmaker/Director page on Facebook, “Like” the page, and then comment on the trailer which you’ll find the post for.  Here’s the link to my page:

Well everyone, I’d love to hear from you.  Stay tuned for more posts.  Facebook will also provide more up-to-date, day by day posts.  God bless you all and I pray that God is working in and through each of your lives.  Remember this; God is your heavenly father.  He desires to have a personal, daily, hourly, minutely relationship with you.  He wants you to line up with his will so that He can be the provider for everything that you need.  He loves you so much.  Take care.

Wow it’s 2008

Monday, January 28th, 2008

Hello all. Can you believe it. It’s 2008. So with the new year it really makes you wonder. What will God bring into our lives this year. Well, I’ll tell you this; it’s really up to you. Not because we control God. But because we control our will which is prone to temptation. God will never force us to do anything. God wants us to choose to allow him to work in our life. He wants us to say, “God, I can’t do this without you.” “I submit my will to you so that I can have your best for my life.” That’s really the key to everything on this Earth. Allowing God to direct our life. The Bible say, “Man deviseth a way, but the Lord leads his footsteps.” Well, there’s a catch with this scripture. We must allow God to lead us if we want His blessings.

So what’s new for 2008. We are now the Protestant Singles Directors over three U.S. Air Force Bases. Our Kaiserslauter Chapter of Tribe of Judah Motorcycle Ministry has a full schedule of rides this year. The Ramstein Singles Ministry has a full schedule of events and trips. And our news media is bigger and better than ever, (At confusion and mayhem). If you wonder why we don’t know who to vote for, you can thank the news media for that. If you wonder why our U.S. president, the most powerful political position in the world has such low approval ratings, you can thank our news media. The news media can actually control the flow of entire stock markets. One bad reporting on a company or housing economy, and down it will plummet. It’s so amazing how our society are so easily swayed. Well take care all. Happy New Year. God Bless,

Larry

Summer of Oh 7

Life is truly amazing.  God continues to bless us and I’m so thankful.  We were in the states for a month from May to June on emergency leave.  Dorothy’s mom, Zeny had surgery.  All went well.  She is fully recovered now.  We got to see everyone except my littlest bro Chris.  Bummer.  My two baby brothers David 33 and Chris 28 are in the Air Force and married.  David’s family is his wife Charity and their daughter Haleigh 3 and their son, Matthew 1.  Well, almost 1.  And Chris’s family is his wife Apryl and their daughters Alaura 3 and Chloe 1.

We have been doing a lot.  Dorothy got her own Harley.  It’s a new 2006 Sportster 1200Low.  Mine is a 05 Sportster 1200Custom.  The motorcycle ministry is doing well.  We have accomplished a lot.  We have been in the relationship building stages over the last four months.  We are sponsored through a chapter of the motorcycle ministry in Stuttgart, Germany.  We ride up monthly for the meetings.  We just got back two weeks ago from central Germany from a biker rally just outside of Kassel.  You can see photos on our new ministry site.  Check it out: www.militarybikerministry.com or www.militarymotorcycleministry.com . Same site.

Also as a side note, I am developing another site to be a total biker resource guide for Southern Germany.  Check it out too: www.kmcbiker.com .  It’s not finished of course.

O.k., here’s today’s message:

If you intend to follow Christ you must first make the decision to do so.  Then you must head in the right direction.  If the things that we do are contrary to the Word of God then we are missing the mark.  You need to be headed towards Christ to follow Him.

Following takes precision.  You can’t follow someone by turning and going your own direction.  The Bible say, Large is the gate, wide is the road that leads to destruction, Small is the gate and narrow is the path that leads to righteousness. Few will enter through it.

Sin, of course is enticing; it’s fun; it’s beautiful, at least to our human eyes and senses.  We are of flesh and of spirit.  We must deny our flesh for our spirit to prosper.

If you get off course and find yourself going the wrong way, that’s o.k.  God allows U-Turns.  Ask and receive your forgiveness and stay on the straight and narrow path that God intends for your life.  God has amazing things for you..

Well, everyone.  God bless you all.  I’ll talk more later.  Email me with comments or questions at: larryb222@hotmail.com .

See ya,

Obedient too late

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

Hello everyone.  Dorothy and I had a pretty good weekend.  I went on a ride with about sixty to seventy other bikers this Saturday.  It was amazing.  I have something that happened today.  I guess I could say a very valuable life lesson.  Well, here goes.

Last week I felt that God impressed upon me to go to the grocery store and to buy groceries for a couple that are in our church.  I haven’t spoken to this couple in a while, but I really felt impressed by God to do this.  One day passed and I didn’t get to it.  A couple more days passed and I didn’t get to it yet.  A few more days passed and I still didn’t get it done.  I didn’t even share this with Dorothy.  That was my first mistake.  I meant to.  But best intentions are never good enough.

Today I told Dorothy today that I felt that we needed to help this couple.  Now, it’s been a week or more since I felt God leading me to do this.  Dorothy was excited about the thought of helping them too.  Well, Dorothy came downstairs and said, “I have put together four grocery bags full of groceries for them.”  She said, “We don’t have to go to the store.”  We took the bags of groceries to this couple and when we arrived at their house, the guy was outside, walking to his car.  He said, “Hey, what are you guys up to?”  I told him that we had brought some things and that last week God had impressed upon me to help them, but that I was soooo sorry because I let my schedule get in the way.

What he said to me next will be forever engrained into my head.  He said to me, “It’s funny that you say that Larry, because last week we didn’t have any food left and didn’t know what we were going to do.”  I began to cry and said, “I am so sorry.”  “I let you guys down by not acting to God’s voice immediately.”

What a blow, to realize that when we don’t obey God when God speaks to us, we let His people down.  Wow.  How difficult of a lesson.  God is amazing and He takes care of us.

Dorothy and I left and as we were driving I couldn’t stop the tears.  Of course Dorothy was struggling as well.  That was a very hard lesson.  I had let these people down.  I told Dorothy, that a lot of times we don’t realize how blessed that we are.  I said to Dorothy, “You know, we could have done better than that.”  She said, “I know we could.”  So we went to the grocery store and bought a bunch of different types of meat, and potatoes and bread, and milk, and vegetables and other things.  We took that to them and really gave then.

Don’t forget that when you give to people, are you giving your best?  God honors that.  Obey God when He speaks.

Winter 07

Monday, March 19th, 2007

Good morning everyone.  Last week was a couple of really nice sunny, warm, bike rides on the Harley.  Today is SNOW.  Yesterday, we had an awesome time of worship at church.  It’s amazing how as musician’s, if we first, want what God wants, and we truely offer our talent, He will use it.  The music was amazing.  Music was and is the atmosphere in Heaven.  God created music to carry his anointing.  There are several accounts in the Bible of the power of God’s anointing upon music.  I just finished the very first video blog and it will be uploaded very soon.

Who ever said ministry would be easy?  Remember, we are dealing with so many different personality types in the church and different spiritual maturity levels.  God said we must love people regardless.  In fact the bible went as far as to say “Love Your Enemy”.  Wow, how much more should we do for our church family, or friends, or even your own wife or husband, or children.

God bless and talk to you all later.

Hello world!

Sunday, February 4th, 2007

Hey everyone.  How have you been?  Welcome to my blog/ videoblog site.  I just want to share the things that God has taught me and continues to teach me about the ministry that He’s called Dorothy and I to.  Of Course that is the ministry of music, film and of worship.  Please keep checking back for more updates.  I’ll be doing at least one videoblog per month, and soon more.  What is unique about this blog, is that each blog will be done from a different  cool place here in Europe.  Well, I can’t wait to share with you all.  Please keep in contact and definitely continue to comment on everything we do and say.  God bless you all and take care for now.  Bye     Oh!! by the way, check out my newly updated site at www.larryaburnsjr.com
